Fractional CO2

• Arrive with a cleansed face and neck area – no creams, no make-up.
• Men should arrive clean shaven.
• No sun-tanning or self-tanners 4 weeks prior to treatment - Includes spray tans, tanning lotions, tanning beds, sun exposure, etc.
• Avoid products containing any actives on the area for 5-7 days prior to treatment. Ie. tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, vitamin C, exfoliants etc.
• Notify clinic with any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment.
• History of cold sores may require an anti-viral prescription prior to treatment.

• You will refrain from using your usual skin care regimen for approx. 1-2 weeks.
• We recommend you do 4-5 water & vinegar soaks daily for 2-4 days. (1 tbsp vinegar to 1 cup cool water). Lean over your sink and gently apply the soaked compress (clean face cloth or gauze).
• Pat the skin dry gently afterwards with a clean face cloth.
• Days 1-3: use only Vaseline petroleum jelly as your cream.
• Sleep with two pillows so you are elevated (this will help with the swelling).
• Put a towel on your pillow to keep your pillowcase clean from the Vaseline.
• You may find the area to be red, itchy, dry, swollen, and some feel some discomfort for 1-3 days.
• Take an antihistamine to help with itching and swelling and take Tylenol if you are uncomfortable. Do not take Advil.
• A visible fine scab or crusting will develop 3 - 5 days after your treatment. Do not remove it, scratch it or pick it.
• Once the swelling has come down, begin to use your post care kit. Remember to keep your masks in the fridge.

Day 3 – 5: Begin using your post care kit

AM:

• Use the Herbal Care lotion by soaking a cotton pad and gently applying to face without scrubbing. (Make sure the cotton pad is very wet. Do this over your sink as some skin may slough off)
• Apply a blue Dermal Pure mask for 15 mins. Remove and wipe excess into skin.
• Apply a generous amount of Skin Repair cream.
• Lastly apply the Sheer Hydration 40 SPF cream

PM: (Same as above without applying SPF cream)

Tips:

• During the day apply sunscreen every 3 to 4 hours for a minimum of 2-4 weeks after your procedure to help prevent UV-induced pigmentation.
• Ideally, try not to wear a medical face mask until the fine scabbing/crusting has exfoliated or sloughed off (up to 5 days)
• Avoid actives on the area for 7-10 days after treatment. (i.e. tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, vitamin C, exfoliants and astringents, etc.)
• Avoid saunas, hot tubs, and hot showers for 1-2 weeks.
• Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water.
• Notify clinic of any concerns.
• Resume skin care regimen generally 8-14 days post treatment.
• Call or text the clinic with any questions.
